Log hours
A shift takes a few taps
Pick the job, set start and end, add an unpaid break or a note. Night shifts that cross midnight and daylight-saving changes are counted correctly. Copy last week’s shift when your roster repeats.
- Hourly or per-shift pay
- Several named rates per job, such as weekday and weekend
- Change a rate and past shifts keep the rate they were logged with

Pay periods
Pay periods that fill themselves in
Tell Wagebook how you are paid: weekly, fortnightly, twice a month, or monthly. Each period collects its own shifts and shows the estimated pay for those dates. For a one-off job, set a manual date range.

Check your pay
Estimate, received, difference
When money arrives, record the amount against its pay period. Wagebook shows your estimate, what you received, and the gap between them. Until you record a payment, the difference says Unknown, not zero, so a missing payment never looks settled.
| Estimated pay | $1,096.00 |
|---|---|
| Received | $900.00 |
| Still needed | $196.00 |
More than one job
Each job keeps its own books
A café on weekdays and a night desk on weekends? Each job has its own rates, pay schedule, and currency, and the calendar shows them side by side. Archive a job when you leave; its history and exports stay.
- 12 currencies, including USD, GBP, AUD, CAD, EUR, JPY, HKD, and MYR
- Amounts are never added across currencies

What Wagebook doesn’t do
Wagebook is your own record of hours and estimated gross pay. It is not payroll software, and it does not give legal advice.
- No tax, take-home pay, superannuation, pension, or social insurance calculations
- No overtime rules, award or penalty rates, or minimum wage checks
- No judgement on whether you were underpaid. It shows a difference, and you decide what it means
- No live timer, clock-in, GPS, or photo scanning of payslips
- No employer or team features, and no cloud sync between devices

FAQ
Questions
Is Wagebook free?
Yes. Logging hours, estimated pay, comparing what arrived, and CSV export are free. Wagebook Pro adds batch edit and batch delete.
Does Wagebook calculate tax or take-home pay?
No. It estimates gross pay from your hours and your rates. It does not calculate tax, deductions, overtime rules, or legal minimums.
What if I haven’t recorded my pay yet?
The difference shows Unknown instead of zero. Record the amount when it arrives and Wagebook compares it with the estimate.
Can I track more than one job?
Yes. Each job has its own rates, pay schedule, and currency. Totals are kept per job and never mixed across currencies.
Can I log pay per shift instead of per hour?
Yes. Set a per-shift rate for work paid by the session, such as tutoring, events, or care visits.
Which pay schedules are supported?
Weekly, fortnightly, twice a month, and monthly, plus a manual date range for one-off work.
Do I need an account? Does it sync?
No account. Wagebook does not sync to a cloud database, so records stay on your iPhone. Export a CSV when you want a copy elsewhere.
Is there a clock-in timer?
No. You enter start and end times yourself, or copy an earlier shift. Nothing runs in the background.
