Wagebook 1.1.0
Many time-tracking apps start with a sign-up form or an invite from your employer. Wagebook is for your own record. There is no account, nothing to join, and your hours and pay stay on your iPhone.
What stays on your phone
Shifts, rates, jobs, pay periods, and payments are stored on your iPhone. Wagebook does not sync them to a cloud database, and the app works in airplane mode.
Like other app data, they can be included in your own iPhone backups, depending on your backup settings.
What leaves your phone
Wagebook uses Firebase Analytics for anonymous usage events and crash reports, and RevenueCat for purchases. These do not include your hours, rates, amounts, job names, or notes. There is no advertising tracking.
A CSV export leaves only when you share it. By default it hides job names and notes; you choose whether to include them.
Privacy on screen
Turn on the app-switcher cover in Settings and Wagebook hides pay and job details whenever the app is in the background, which helps on a shared or work phone.
Questions
Does my employer see my Wagebook records?
No. Wagebook is not connected to any employer. Records are only shared if you export and send them yourself.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Records return with an iPhone backup restore. Wagebook has no cloud copy of its own, so keep backups on, or export a CSV from time to time.
Can I import a CSV back into Wagebook?
No. CSV export is a read-only copy for spreadsheets and your own files.
