SimpleSpend

An expense tracker for iPad

A wider oak desk with a face-down iPad between two stacks of paper, like a split view.

The iPad app is the same books, not a cut-down companion. Ledgers sit in a split view. Records, budgets, and recurring rules match iPhone. Turn on iCloud if both devices should hold the personal books.

The same book, a wider layout

On iPad, the ledger list and the page you are working in can sit side by side. You are not maintaining a second set of accounts.

Logging, budgets, statistics, subscriptions, and recurring rules work as they do on iPhone. A charge you add on the tablet is the same row.

One install per device

Install SimpleSpend from the App Store on the iPad. It is the same listing as iPhone, for iPadOS 18 and later.

Without iCloud, the iPad has its own local copy. That is fine for a tablet that never needs the phone’s book. With iCloud on, personal ledgers can match.

What stays the same

No bank login, no ads, no required SimpleSpend account. Shared ledgers, image attachments, widgets, and reminders work on iPad as well. Recurring rules still belong to personal ledgers.

Siri and Shortcuts follow iOS 18. Hold-to-talk still needs iOS 26 on a device that can load the speech asset. Confirm before anything saves.
