SimpleSpend Privacy Policy

SimpleSpend is a personal finance app from Castor Studio.

Your records

Transactions, notes, accounts, categories, ledgers, budgets, images, and settings stay on your device. If you turn on iCloud, Apple syncs them across your devices. Shared-ledger records are visible to invited members. Personal ledgers stay separate. There is no separate SimpleSpend account.

What we collect

SimpleSpend collects information to run the app and to understand usage, reliability, and purchases. Collection is on by default and cannot be turned off in the app. We do not sell your information, show third-party ads, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

This includes:

• Product interaction
• Device ID
• Purchase history
• Performance and diagnostic data
• Crash data

Apple’s App Privacy labels on the product page list these categories.

Services we use

• Apple, including iCloud, App Store, and system features you choose, such as Siri, Shortcuts, and Spotlight
• RevenueCat, for purchases
• TelemetryDeck, for analytics
• Google Firebase Analytics, for product analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics, for crash reports
• Frankfurter, for exchange rates

These providers may receive information needed to provide their services, such as an IP address. They must protect it at least as this policy does. We do not receive your payment card details.

How we use information

We use information to provide and improve SimpleSpend, sync data you enable, process purchases, fetch exchange rates, and measure usage and purchases.

Your choices

You can edit, delete, or export records in the app; turn iCloud on or off; manage subscriptions through Apple; and restore purchases from the paywall.

Deleting the app removes local data. iCloud data stays with your Apple ID until you remove it there. For a deletion request about data held by a service provider, contact us.

Retention

Records stay on your device or in iCloud until you delete them. Apple, RevenueCat, TelemetryDeck, and Google keep information as needed to provide their services and as required by law. Analytics and crash reports do not include ledger names, amounts, notes, or account identifiers. They are not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and they are not linked to an advertising ID.

Children

SimpleSpend is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest revision.
