Keep the receipt photo on the expense

When you need to claim an expense, return something, or find a warranty, the worst part is scrolling through your photos. SimpleSpend lets you attach up to 3 images to each record, so the proof is on the expense when you look it up.
Which expenses deserve a photo
Things you will claim: taxis, meals, hotels. Things you might return: clothes and electronics. Things under warranty: appliance invoices and warranty cards. And large purchases you may need to reconcile later.
Coffee and the bus ride do not need one. Images are for the few records you will want to find again, not for every entry.
Where the images live
On the entry form, or in an existing record, tap Add Image and pick from your photo library. In this version you choose from the library, so take a photo of the receipt with the Camera first, then attach it.
SimpleSpend keeps an optimized copy rather than the full original. With iCloud sync on, images follow your data to your iPhone and iPad. If an image has not reached a device yet, SimpleSpend says it has not synced there yet; give it a moment.
Deleting one image only removes that image. The record and its other images stay.
Taking them with you, and the limits
In Export, choose Create Full Export to get a ZIP with the CSV, every image, and a manifest that says which record each image belongs to. Hand that in for an expense claim or a tax return.
SimpleSpend does not read amounts or merchants from images. They are kept as a record; you still type the amount. Images in a shared ledger are not shared with other members, and recurring records do not keep images.
